By searching for a vessel in the search field or selecting a vessel on the map, the past and predicted route of the ship will be displayed.
The red line represents the predicted route of a vessel. The predicted track uses the destination port as an endpoint received from the AIS and calculates the most plausible route toward the given port. The prediction is based on FleetMon's unique routing network. The destination port is displayed as a red anchor icon on the map.
Hover States With Detailed Route Information
We added useful information to the predicted track. For more details on the predicted route of a vessel, please enable the Track Inspector first. When examining the predicted track of a selected vessel closer, you'll find red-colored, circular supporting points. If you hover over one of these supporting points, further information on the vessel's predicted route will be displayed.
It is shown the following information at a glance:
Distance left (in NM) until destination port is reached
Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA by FleetMon) at the respective supporting point
Time left (in min/days) until the respective supporting point is reached
Port of destination
Timestamp of the AIS signal received upon which the prediction is based
Route Legend
To help you analyze the past and future track of a vessel, we added a route legend box to the right bottom corner of the screen.
