The "hotter" an area is, the higher the number of vessels that have crossed this point on the map. "Hotter" means more vessels were seen on that pixel:
blue = 1 - 2 vessels
cyan = 3 - 7 vessels
green = 8 - 20 vessels
yellow = 21 - 54 vessels
red = 55 - 148 vessels
magenta = 149 - 403 vessels
white = 404 - 1096 vessels
