💡Estimated time of arrival (ETA) is the date and time that a vessel is predicted to arrive at a specified port.

ETA by FleetMon is based on our routing network. The ETA is calculated using the following parameters:

  • possible draft

  • speedlimit

Combined with:

  • vessel history

  • maximum speed

Output is the calculation of the time of entering a port.

💡Note: Normally, the Nautical Officer also provides the ETA. In this case, it is called "ETA by Vessel".

🔎 Hint:

If the "ETA by Vessel" is LATER than the ETA by FleetMon, the vessel has probably decreased its speed before arriving. In this scenario, we recommend using the ETA by Vessel.

If the "ETA by Vessel" is EARLIER than the ETA by FleetMon, the likelihood is that the ETA by vessel has not been updated or the vessel has had to divert the route due to weather conditions. In this scenario, we recommend using the ETA by FleetMon.
